I'm not gonna ramble on about the film this documentary covers. There's nothing more needs ever be said about John Carpenters classic shocker by me nor anyone else. We all know its as damned near perfection as cinema gets. We all know its the perfect encapsulation of our most cherished day/night of the year. We all know Rob Zombie is an imbecile, (well, most of us do, I assume....).
Its the film that shaped our childhoods, and informed our adult cinematic minds. It lives inside us all, and it never, ever gets old.
This here is a pretty excellent documentary on the making of HALLOWEEN, featuring some great snippets of information for the two of you out there who haven't already learned everything there is to know about the history of this stunning film. Carpenter is always a blast to hang with, and hes just one of the many much loved faces you'll meet along the way as we journey down to Haddonfield one more time, to watch THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD, make Jack-O-Lanterns, and feel that familiar sensation of dread, as the boogeyman draws ever closer to our happy home.
